† X-Band spectra are commonly observed in the region of 9.5GHz, and at a magnetic field of 0.345 tesla. Under these conditions the ENDOR frequencies for some common nuclei are shown to the left. Hydrogen,1H, which has the largest magnetic moment of all stable nuclei (19F is second largest), thus occurs at the highest NMR frequency. Other EMR frequency bands give NMR positions in proportion to the ratio of the band frequency, hence Q-band ENDOR will be in the range up to 3.7 times the values in the table, putting 1H at 53MHz. |
